Dynamic B2B Lead Generation with Google Search (Part 1)
January 11, 2015
Hi, this John Murphy from Blue Bell Marketing and this is part 1 of our 3 part video series about business to business lead generation using Google search advertising. So to begin, let me share an important fact:
81% of all B2B purchase cycles start with web search
Paid search advertising gives you an opportunity to promote your company right when your target customers are searching for your products or services. Now here is a question I often receive: “Where will my paid search ads be placed?” Ok, let me show you where advertising appears when you complete a web search. You may already know this information but just in case, I will show you exactly what I mean. Ok, let’s search for a b2b product, let’s say Fiberglass Pipe. For those of you don’t know Fiberglass pipe is commonly used for plumbing.Ok, here are the results...the 2 to 3 results on the top of the page AND the results on the right hand side of the page ARE paid advertising. Notice the AD icon next to the paid search results. The results below the paid ads are the are natural search results. Natural search results ARE NOT generated through paid advertising.
Now that you know where these ads are placed, let me point out three primary benefits of search advertising:
Benefit #1: You can place your ad above the natural search results.
Benefit #2: You can place your ad above your competitors search results listings
Benefit #3: You can place your ad on the first page of search results.
This last benefit is especially important because 75% of users never scroll past the first page of search results. If your website isn’t showing up on the first page of search results chances are that your target customers won’t even find you.
So this concludes part 1 of our 3 part video series. In part 2, I will discuss how you can determine the costs associated with Google search advertising. If you liked this video please give it a Thumbs Up rating. Again, this is John Murphy with Blue Bell Marketing and enjoy your day.
